Flea Control
Fleas can be your worst nightmare when they infest your home or yard. They can make your family and pets life miserable. Fleas are insects that are parasites, they feed on their hosts by sucking blood. Fleas can be found on animals like Dogs and Cats. But they are also found on other mammals like Raccoons, Opossums, Skunks, Squirrels, Rabbits, Mice and Rats. So just because you don't have any pets, doesn't mean you won't have to worry about fleas. If any of these animals make their way in your yard or home then you are at risk. This also means that if a neighboring property has animals with Fleas, that you could inherit their problem.

Fleas are small (1/16 to 1/8 inches long), agile and usually dark in color. Fleas are wingless insects whose mouth parts are adapted for piercing skin and sucking blood. Their legs are long and the hind pair is well adapted for jumping. A Flea’s body is hard, polished and covered with many hairs and short spines directed backward. The flea’s tough body is able to withstand great pressure, even hard squeezing between the fingers is normally insufficient to kill a Flea. Adult Fleas must feed on blood before they can become capable of reproduction. Eggs are laid in batches of up to 20 and take around two days to two weeks to hatch.

Flea Control is performed by treating all the interior flooring and by power spraying the exterior yard and landscaping. In some scenarios Fleas can get in attics and pier and beam crawl spaces. An attic / pier and beam crawl space dusting treatment can be performed. But this usually means that there is another underlying issue like rodents or a wildlife problem in these crawl spaces. This issue needs to be addressed first before the Flea issue. When a Flea treatment is being performed all people and pets need to leave the property, we recommend you stay out of the home for 4 hours to allow for the treatment to dry properly. If you are infested with Fleas then a one-time treatment will not control the Flea infestation. Since the life cycle of Fleas are so vicious, we recommend multiple follow up treatments to gain control of Flea infestations, all at additional costs.
